LVT 2007 r Good quality, notably with the standard Côtes du Rhône Cantabril - very drinkable. 20% bottled, rest bulk sales.

LVT  2017  wh  2017 r  Sound, can be very good, white - the 2016 Côtes du Rhône a **** wine. Entertaining reds with character, a real imprint of their own. Organic production, low use of sulphur. Pierre has worked as a winemaker in the Napa Valley, California. He returned to France and set up the estate in 2000, his first vintage 2001. 25 hectares. It has been organic from 2003, officially from 2008, and biodynamic from early 2010s. Low use of sulphur, and long, long raising in concrete vat for some of his wines - up to five or six years; the 2009 Signargues red was bottled on 7 July, 2017, for example. I find some of the wines suffer from dry tannins, the long raising not allowing freshness to sustain - the Signargues an example. Pierre's partner Nadine Autray introduced a wine that she vinified for the first time in 2016, called Côtes du Rhône Villages Un K À part red; from St Hilaire d'Ozilhan, it was a **** STGT success.

LVT 2015 r Michel is the husband of Valérie Castan-Collomb, of Domaine de la Valériane. He also makes olive oil sold at the domaine. The wines are vinified at Valériane. Discreet structure, no undue forcing, sound wine, the 2015 Signargues red an expressive, engaging ***(*) wine.

LVT 2016 r  A 50 hectare domaine that sells in bulk and bottle, with a Signargues now on the go, a welcome additional name to a rather scarce appellation. Jean-Luc Meger is the sixth generation on the domaine, there since 2005, having had work experience with Pierre Gaillard in the Northern Rhône. The 2016 Signargues was a close-knit, reserved but thorough, STGT wine, with a **** rating

LVT 2016 r 2012 rosé Efficient, easy-fruited organic wines. The Costes are also connected with Château Capucine at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and make two sound, soft Signargues reds: the Cayenne is oaked, Bastien is vat-raised. They were ***(*) and *** wines in 2015.

LVT 2015 r 2014 wh 2010 rosé From the good right-bank village of Domazan in the Gard. Muscled, well-made wines, notably the Côtes du Rhône Vieilles Vignes red. The 2015 Signargues Les Cailloux red was an authentic STGT **** wine. There is an aromatic white.

LVT  2016 r   2011 rosé  2014 wh  Two Signargues reds made: quality up or down, but progress rightly noted in the magnificent 2016 vintage, the Lou Biou, usually the better Signargues, a nourishing **** wine with good energy, and a handy role played by the Carignan in with the Syrah and the Mourvèdre. There is little Grenache used on the Signargues reds.

LVT 2012 r 2012 wh This promising domaine started to bottle in 2003. Half its production, or 45,000 bottles, was sold that year. The Popelin family were rum producers in Martinique, and sold this family business in 2000. The emphasis is on fruit and finesse over power, and the white is consistently good.
